On December 27, 2018 in the reading room "Ijod" of the National Library of Uzbekistan opened an open exhibition of literature "Munavvarlik istagan ustod", dedicated to the 135th anniversary of politician and educator Munavvara kori Abdurashidkhonov. The exhibition featured evidence of his life, his knowledge of science and education, memories and his works.
Munavvar kori Abdurashidkhonov was born in 1878 in Tashkent, the leader of the Central Asian Jadid movement, the founder of the Uzbek national press and a new national school, a new national theate organizer, writer, poet, trainer, editor, educator, public figure. At the age of seven, he lost his father and his mother gave him his initial education. Then, the famous teacher of his time, who name is Usman, studied the recitation and tajwid and became a Koran. He studied at the Mirarab madrassah in Bukhara in 1885-90. He then served as an Imam in the Darhan Mosque in Tashkent. Munavvar kori began to actively participate in the Jadid movement from the end of XIX century.
Munavvar kori, along with socio-pedagogical activity, also engaged in artistic creativity. His compact stories, his poems, were included in the press and the textbooks he had written and written at that time. He is also known as a sharp journalistic writer. His articles are about man and society, religion and religious affiliation, morality, colonialism, intelligence, associations, organizations, and government.
Munavvar Kori has been engaged in serious political activities not only in pedagogy, journalism, editorial and literary activity, but also has been imprisoned by the colonial government several times.
