In the National library of Uzbekistan opened the book-illustrative exhibition

April 20, 2017 in the reading room "Ilm" the National library of Uzbekistan opened a book and illustrative exhibition entitled "Scientists that befell the verge of science" dedicated to the 120th anniversary of member of Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the genetic scientist, honored agronomist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abram Maltsev. The exhibition presents books about the life and scientific activity of the member of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the genetic scientist, honored agronomist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abram Maltsev, as well as his scientific works and brochures.

Abram Maltsev was born on April 20, 1897 in the Republic of Dagestan. In 1928 he graduated from the agricultural faculty of the middle Asian University. In 1928-1931 he worked as an assistant at Central station breeding SoyuzNIKhI, in the years 1932-1937 Director of the station, in 1937-1940 he worked as Deputy people's Commissar for the Land of the Uzbek SSR, in 1940-1941 chief inspector of the agricultural group of the State inspection of Uzbekistan in the years of 1942-1955 Director of SoyuzNIKhI, in the years 1956-1963 he worked as a Professor, head of Department of selection of cotton and seed-growing of Tashkent agricultural Institute. His scientific work is devoted to genetics, breeding, biology, systematics and geography of cotton.

Visiting the book-illustrative exhibition under the name ""Scientists that befell the verge of science" dedicated to the 120th anniversary of member of Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, scientist-geneticist, honored agronomist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abram Maltsev, users got acquainted with the life and work of Abram Maltsev, as well as with his works  "Guza", "Guza va uning turlari, tuzilishi va rivojlanishi", "Paxtachilik", "Genetics, selection and seed growing of cotton”, and “What are selection and  seed growing of cotton?" and other brochures.
