In the National library of Uzbekistan hosted a seminar on enhancing media literacy of young people

22 may 2015 in the National library of Uzbekistan hosted a seminar to improve media literacy of youth in communicating in social networks on the topic: “Goals and objectives social networks in educational institutions and the concept of them, organized jointly with the Ministry of higher and secondary special education.
A conversation with the students of Uzbek state University of world languages held a senior lecturer in audio-visuality of journalism and mass communication faculty of international journalism of the University of Amrillo Karimov and Azam Dadahonov.

In a conversation on ”Social network and their classification” A. Karimov spoke about the measures undertaken to improve media literacy of youth, the importance of interactive method social networks, their role in the provision of youth educational materials and appealed to students with questions calling for stormy discussions. Also, A. Karimov shared his recommendations for the implementation of social networking in the educational process.
And A. Dadahonov in a conversation about “Methods of using social networking in the educational process familiarized students with the classification of social networks, ways of creating pages in order to discuss there passed material, noted useful and negative qualities in their usage and recommended sites such as www.facebook.com, www.siteadvisor.com, www.google.com.au, www.google-analytics.com, www.news.com.au, www.yahoo.com, www.wikipedia.org, www.youtube.com which regard the most effective in modern education. He also spoke about popular networks among teachers Pinterest and SlideShare, acquainted with their capabilities and facilities.
The workshop aimed to improve media literacy of youth in communicating in social networks, has caused students and teachers of great interest and many questions. The participants of the seminar satisfied the responses they received and thanked the organizers.
