On July 18, 2019, within the framework of the International Chess Day, the “Blue Suitcase” action campaign of the National Library of Uzbekistan visited a summer school camp and a pre-school educational institution. Specialists of the Reading Rooms Service came to the children at the summer camp of school No. 86 and to the pre-school educational institution No. 35 “Shodlik” of the Yunusabad district with the “Blue suitcase” filled with electronic equipment and chess.
On July 10, 2019, the Tumor book (Talisman), translated by Humoyun Akbarov to the 220th anniversary of the Russian writer and poet Alexander Pushkin, was presented at the National Library of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by famous translators, literary critics, journalists and fans of Pushkin. The book “Tumor” was published by the Chulpan Publishing and Printing House and was timed to the 220th anniversary of Pushkin.
